Professor John L. Taylor first came to the Seminar in January 1965 for a session on Urban Planning. 

"The weeks spent at the Schloss were hugely memorable. Together with Professor (Maurice) Broady we set up the SCUPAD Alumni organisation (Salzburg Congress for Urban Planning and Development), and I became the first Editor of the SCUPAD Bulletin. Happily my wife and I have managed to return ver often, and we share our admiration for everyone’s stewardship. In a very small way we assisted a young musicians’ series to bring further joy to the Schloss. All best wishes for the future!"
